The Portland Dahlia Society can provide your gardening club or group with experienced dahlia growers who can offer presentations on all facets of dahlia cultivation.  Topics can include: where to purchase quality dahlias from reputable commercial growers, taking and growing cuttings from dahlia tubers, how and when to plant, do's and don'ts during the growing season, fertilizing, pest control and virus identification, digging and dividing tuber clumps, methods for storing tubers over the winter months.  Our speakers have many years of experience growing dahlias and are excited to share their knowledge with your group. They all have a wealth of knowledge.
